was established in 1976 (27 years ago) to service the market for
replacement windows & doors in the South East of England. The
Company has some 55,000 plus customers in that area and has also
fulfilled large refurbishment contracts for all the local authorities,
utilities & other commercial organisations. It is headquartered
in Uckfield, East Sussex, where the largest indoor show area for
Conservatories & Windows in the UK can be seen. Davies &
Tate also provides software for its industry and has an unbroken
record of innovation together with unrivaled commitment to excellent
products and installation.
In 1997 it started Window Fitters Mate as an organisation dedicated
to servicing the needs of independent window fitters, small builders,
small window companies and other trade customers. This organisation,
with its supply chain, is able to fulfill this service commitment
with 3 ranges of PVC products, aluminum products, conservatory,
roofing products together with all the ancillary consumable materials
necessary for a complete installation.
The Window Fitters Mate chain of 2-3000 sq ft distribution depots
is well represented in the Midlands and the South, and the organisation
is now responsible for supplying in excess of 1500 windows &
doors per week. With 21 branches currently open, the Window Fitters
Mate organisation will have the capacity to process and distribute
4000 windows & doors per week.
